Productivity of oil palm plantations ranged from 13 (ton h-1 year-1) fresh fruit bunches (FFB) on less suitable land to more than 24 (ton h-1 year-1) FFB on suitable land (Sianturi 1993). Oil palm plantation productivity is a very important factor to guide the decision- making process in the future.
Palm oil is the most productive vegetable oil plant, capable of producing for up to 30 years. The process begins with immature plants (TBM), progresses to mature plants (TM), and reaches an optimal phase before lowering production.
Palm oil bunches will grow with each new development. To maximize palm oil yield, use appropriate kinds, fertilize properly, control pests and diseases, perform routine maintenance, and replant old plants.
Maximize palm oil productivity at all stages and implement the most effective tactics for success.
